Hawaiian Tropic

Even though this product is supposed to be to use after you tan just to make sure your skin is hydrated, I use it ALL the time. I love it! It's a really good moisturizer. I use it on my face every night before I go to bed after I've removed all my makeup. I have super dry skin (especially in the winter) and my skin is really soft and hydrated now. I haven't had a problem with dry skin since I started using this every night.

Update on Cherry Culture.

This is an update on some of the Cherry Culture website brands...

Some of the brands only have a couple of products available on Cherry Culture. I guess there should be more on the brand's website. The brands that I'm talking about are:
  1. Blah Blah
  2. Cherry Culture
  3. Fresh Scents
  4. Kissywear
  5. Kitten Vixen
  6. KleanColor
  7. Zalan
I wasn't interested in any of these brands so I didn't look into it farther.
These brands I just mentioned all have only 1 or 2 products available. A couple of them didn't have any at all.

Also, I misspelled one brand. It's Me! Bath NOT Mel Bath.

I will still say that Cherry Culture is one of my top favorite websites. =]

Cherry Culture

A website that I was directed to a while back has quickly become on of my favorites. If you are in to makeup like I am...then you need to visit Cherry Culture. It's an amazing site that has so many different products.

They have GREAT sales, a "Tips & Trends" section, Special Offers, Rewards...tons of stuff. They're customer service seems to be really good.
They sell for Eyes, Lips, Face, Nails & Body. They also have a good Tool section that sells brushes, sharpeners, etc.

There are 41 different brands of cosmetics available on the site. I find it very easy to navigate. I'm going to include a list of all the brands at the end of this blog entry.

Cherry Culture has a whole section of gift ideas for all your makeup lovers that have a birthday coming up. And with the cheaper prices on these products you can afford to get more for that person. Which I think is a plus. I love to make basket gifts. I just get a cute, cheap basket somewhere and then I fill it with products that I love.

And now here is the list of brands Cherry Culture offers.

  1. Amuse
  2. Arissa
  3. Beauty Blender
  4. Blah Blah

Anyway..I just wanted to let you know about this website that someone directed me to a while back. I hope you like it and let me know what you think!

Coastal Scents : Makeup Palettes

I don't know if you all have heard of Coastal Scents Cosmetics..but I REALLY love them!

This is a really HOT item at the moment. It's the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette. They're mostly very neutral but you can also combine colors to make a smokey eyed look. This palette sells for $24.95. You might think that's a little pricey but remember, you get 88 shades.. There's all different shades of brown, silvers, khakis. You can get it at Coastal Scents' website. (<-- Click there for website!)

This palette below is called the Coastal Scents 88-piece Makeup Palette. It is super pigmented and can go on wet or dry. It's shimmery but not as shimmery as the palette below (Ultra Shimmery 88 Eye Shadow Palette). It's more matte than shimmery. But there is a shimmery aspect to it. If you want more sparkle just add some shimmer on top of it.
This palette sells for $18.95 on Coastal Scents' website. (<--click there for website)

This one below is called the Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette. It's super pigmented and it can be applied as a wet or dry shadow. It sells for $19.95 on Coastal Scents' website. (<-- Click there for website)

Just so you know...I have not received these palettes yet so this is NOT a review. This is just me telling you all the good things I've heard about it so far. When I receive them I will do a review. Until then go visit Coastal Scents for your beauty needs.

They have more than makeup. They have cosmetic brushes, butters & soaps. They also have aromatherapy items and bath items.

Another thing about Coastal Scents is that they have a section where you can buy packaging items like jars & baggies. And things like spoons, scoops, mixing spatulas and masks. They even sell a few choices of scales so you can weigh your products. This is super good for people that make their own makeup. You could get a little business going. =]

My Review On A L'oreal Product

The picture I included is not the colors I'll be reviewing. I just wanted to include it so you will know what it looks like. Specifically the brush applicator.

I'm going to review two different shades of the L'OREAL H.I.P. High Intensity Pigments.

They come in these little containers as opposed to a palette because they are a loose powder.
They come with their own little applicator brushes which I LOVE.

The two shades I have go good together but they don't necessarily have to be worn together.

The first shade is called "Intrepid". It's a shimmery brown with an irredescent gold undertone. You can also see a little bit of purple/green shimmer in it as well.

The second shade is called "Tenacious". Its a gold color with a little bit of shimmery, irredescent gold as well.

My favorite of the two is "Intrepid". It has beautiful coverage and when the light hits your eye all of the colors show.

And I found that when you add a basic black liner just above your top lashes, when you use "Tenacious" it gives a look of really thick lashes.

"Intrepid" is probably best for an evening out. "Tenacious" could be used as an everyday color. It's pretty versatile.
